  1. Paws in the Pool - Close Out the Season Safely at the Preserve

    The Preserve at Honey Creek invites you and your furry friends to our first-ever Paws in the Pool event — a fun and safe way to close out the 2025 pool season!

    📅 Saturday, November 1st
    🕛 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    📍 The Preserve Pool

    Event Schedule:
    • 🐕 Large Dogs: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM
    • 🐶 Small Dogs: 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    • Medium dogs – please use your best judgment based on your dog’s size and comfort level

    Event Rules:
    • Dogs swim at their owner’s risk — owners must be present and assist if needed.
    • All dogs must have current rabies vaccinations.
    • No dogs in heat, with open wounds, or health concerns.
    • Dogs must be sociable — no aggressive dogs allowed.
    • Owners must supervise and clean up after their pets.
    • Bring your own towels, poop bags, etc.
    • No food allowed.

    🧼 Post-Event Cleaning & Safety Procedures
    We understand some residents may have questions about cleanliness and water safety following this event. Please rest assured that the pool season has officially ended, and no swimming by residents will occur until the pool reopens in May 2026.

    Following the pet swim event:
    ✅ Filters will be replaced and backwashed.
    ✅ The pool will undergo a shock chlorination treatment and chemical rebalancing.
    ✅ Continuous water circulation and monitoring will occur during the off-season.

    All procedures are being completed under the supervision of our Certified Pool Operator in compliance with the City of McKinney’s Environmental Health Division and Texas Department of State Health Services standards for public pool sanitation.

  2. 🎣 Honey Creek Community Kid Fishing Tournament – October 18th

    Event Starts: October 18, 2025

    9:00am

    Get ready to cast your lines and enjoy a morning of fun at the Honey Creek Community Kid Fishing Tournament! This event is designed for kids and families to come together for a friendly competition and lasting memories.

    🐟 Event Details:
    • 📅 Date: Saturday, 10/18/2025
    • ⏰ Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Please arrive 45 minutes early for waivers, raffle tickets, and pole setup)
    • 📍 Location: Pond on Woodpecker Dr

    🎣 Highlights:
    • Two age groups: 4–9 years and 10–14 years
    • 🏆 Trophies and prizes for the Best Catch
    • 🏅 Participation medals for all kids
    • 🎟 Raffle prizes including gift cards and fishing gear
    • Fishing poles provided for up to 35 kids (first come, first served)
    • Bait and tackle included — just bring your excitement!

  7. Are You Ready For Our Community Pool Party

    Event Starts: June 28, 2025

    4:00pm

    Our Community Pool Party is happening on Saturday, June 28, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pool Lounge Area (3550 Mountain Lauren Dr).

    COME SPLASH, PLAY SOME GAMES AND SOCIALIZE WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS. THIS WILL BE THE BEST POOL PARTY WE'VE EVER HAD!

    Taco Truck, Pizza, Samosas, Popcorn, Popsicles,
    Bubble wands for the kids, shoot some hoops in the water,
    catch some fish, play Connect 4 and so
    much more.

    Please plan to arrive On Time - food will be served based on expected attendance, and while we’ve planned generously, we can’t guarantee availability for latecomers.

    We know everyone wants to have fun and we tried to limit the number of volunteers we need, but we only need a few more extra hands to make this event a success! WE APPRECIATE YOU!
